Sullivan for grazing fees,'ami after hearing considerable argument, the case was dismissed. All ordinary civil business was adjourned. . The Rev. J. D. "Russell presided at the monthly meeting of tho Hutt No-License League, held in St. Augustus's Hall last evening. Mr. W. Sussex (organiser) gavo a short address ou the outlook for tho 'year, mid expressed the opinion that men could be made sober, by law. although 'there was nn extremely popular opinion to the contrary. Tho Rev. Mr. Seamer I apologised for the absence of Mr. F. M. 11. Fisher, M.P., who was (o have been tho speaker for the evening. Ha subsequently spoke 011 the success of No-License in Maslerton, combating statements to the elTcct that business had been alfected by the change. The following contributed to the programme:—Messrs.
