It was the worst, experienced for many years, and was remarkable as the only easterly gale , ever recorded in Sydney. The New Zealand Shipping .Company's 6teamer Karamea, from Montreal, experienced a severe buffeting in the gale. SEVERE STORM IN CANADA. Ottawa, January 13. . A severe storm-has been/raging in the Northern and Western States of Canada. Trains were stalled on the lines for several days. The weather was exceptionally cold.
