Sydney, January 12. Mr. Beoby, Stato Minister for Education and Labour,-who has just returned from a ten days' visit to New Zealand, says he does not agrco with the statement that a.counle of decades' of Labour legislation in "New Zealand has'left tho'worker where ho'was. He had no hesitation' in denying that Labour had been the first to recognise tho betterment arising from the legislation. It was a mere illusion to think that New Zealand had passed through depression during .the last few years. Tho enormous value of tho.regulation of industry in preventing tho cutting of wages was fully appreciated. No political party or substantial section of New Zealand's- community suggested that any of the legislation should bo repoaled. ■
