' Sydney, January 12. So far there is no'traco of Dcumead and Mace, the two' men who yesterday escaped from Darlinghurst Gaol. Tho escape was made possiblo by the portion of tho wall they surmounted being left .unguarded. Tho other portions were patrollod.by armed warders. Tho escapees obtained tho braces thoy' used to make a rope by breaking into .tho prison storeroom. As they were awaiting trial and had not been committed they were dressed in their own clothes. This is making their detection harder.
