QUARTERLY CIRCUIT MEETING. The Circuit, quarterly meeting of the Methodist Board of Management was held on Wednesday evening, the Rev. S. J. Serpell presiding over a representative gathering. The chairman, in his address, spoke hopefully of the work n.ow beiug dono in all departnients, in tie outlying portions of the circuit. ; The ■stewards presented a; favourable balance-sheet, there being several pounds in excess of tho expenditure. It was reported that splendid work is being dono at the Aro Street and Tory Street missions. Tho work of tho sisters was eulogised by the meeting and Sister Annie- was commissioned for a further term as deaconess to the Tory Street Mission.

Sunday School matters received retention and Mr. W. H.- Bennett was appointed Sunday. School visitor to the circuit.

Messrs W. G. Redstone and L. ,T. Clark were reappointed circuit stewards for the ensuing twelve months. Messrs. \V. G. Redstone and W. H. Bennett woro appointed circuit representatives to the conference in Christchiirch next month, with Messrs. G. Williams and G. Keal as substitute remesentatives.
