Ho regretted to say that tho Oamaru Trotting Club had since written to the association saying that it was compelled to abandon its meeting and characterised the action of the Metropolitan Club in making the alteration so as to augment its funds by bookmakers* fees as grossly unfair. After discussion the action of the executivo- in granting permission to tho Metropolitan Club to alter its dates was endorsed, but regret was expressed that the Oamaru Club had abandoned its meeting.
