NORTHERN ASSOCIATION'S TOURNEY. (By Tclccraph—rrcEs Association.) Auckland, January 11. The Northern Bowling Association's annual tournament was continued to-day in perfoct weather. The section pl'iy in the four-rink match was completed, and has resulted in an unusual number of section ties, only four of the twelve sections being won outright, M'lntosh's Onehunga team having; headed a section without a loss, Vcalo (of Ponsonby) the IT section without a loss, Dingwall (of liemuera) holding a similar envious position in M. section, and Tarsons (another Ponsonby skip) heading K section with six'wins. Of the remaining eight sections in which ties have to be played olf there are four teams on oven terms.for first place Jn B section, two in C section, three .in D section, two in E section, two in F section, threo in G section, three in L section, while in J- section no fewer than six of ('ho .eight competing teams are on level terms lor first place, which means that a whole day will be occupied in deciding the section winner as three games will be necessitated to reduce the'half-dozcn to one.
