■ SECOND ANNUAL SHOW. ■. The success iliat attended the. initial effort of the Pabialiia-Akitio A. and P. Association last year, when the attendance was estimated at four-thousand—the largest gathering ever assembled together in tho I'orty-Mile Bush—has induced the committoo to launch' out on a somewhat bisser scale for their second annual show, for : not only has the prizo money.'been substantially increased, but several im-portant'classes-have b'ecii added to the prpcrammo.' Tlio. prize list,: which has just' been issued. . includes-, classes for horses, ! cattle (;210 is.'offered for the best Jersey bull, any aire), sheep, aud piss. The show will bo held on tho Pahiatua racecourse on Friday, February 10. The horticultural and industrial-sections consist of classes for flowers, fruit, vegetables, cheese, and butter (for ■ tho last tivpiiamed classes the prize money has .bear considerably, increased), fancy work; and children's exhibits, and this section will be held in the Drill Hall, Paliia'tia. on Thursday and Friday, February 9 and 10. A special feature in connection with the fathering will be tho jumping competitions.' : These comprise pony jump, maiden hunters', competition, ladies' hunting competition, and an open hunters' event of ".£2O.
