PRESIDENT RESIGNS. ' Now York, January 6. Mr. William Corey is about to resign tho presidency of tho United States Steel Corporatidn, which he has hold since 1903. There is a rumour that the prices for steel will shortly be lowered. This, however, is not generally believed.
