Messrs. . DalEcty asd Co.. Ltd., report having hold their usual stock eaio at Onjraonga ou 'January 5. when they offered ' 1500 shoep to a fair attendance of buyers. Tho following prices were realised:—Woolly ewes, Ks. 2a.; forward shorn owes, 705.; lambs, 7s. 10d.; 2-tooth wethers, from 10s. 9d. to 12s. sd. . Messrs.' Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report holding their first salo in tho-new year yesterday at Levin, when they submitted a full yarding of sheep and only a small ono' of cattle. Sheep , wero easier in price, owing to tho drop in fats; but most, lines were cleared at satisfactory prices.: Quotations:—Fat wethers, 15s. 2d.; fat ewes, 14s. 3d., 13s, 9d., 13b. 2d.,, to 135.; lambs, 10a. 2d., 10s. Bd.; full-mouth ewes. Cs. 6d.. 75.; 2-tooth wethers, lis. Cattle: Fat bullocks, £7 155., £7 12s. 6d.; fat cow<s, £6, £5 55., £5 2s. 6d.; cows and calves, £4 12s. 6d.; gtorc cows, £2 165.; empty heifers, £3 12s. 6d M £2 175.; calves, 306.; Ayrshire bulls, £2 17s. 6d.. to £10. .Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having hold a most successful sale at the Dannovirko yards. A largo entry of cattle and a moderate entry of sheep were offered to a good attendance of buyers. Bidding was spirited, and competition . was keen throughout the sale, and all lots were disposed of under tho hammer, cxcept ono small line. The following prices were realised:—Fat owes, 9s. 6d. to lis. 10d.; 2tooth ewes, lis. 4d. to 13s. 9d.; Etoro ewes, 83. to Sc. id.; 2-tootli wethers, 10s. 4d. to 10s. 10d.; forward store wethers, up to 13s. 4d. Fat cown brought £5 12s. fid. to £5 175.. 6d.; fat heifers, up to £4 10s.; empty store cows, £3 123. 6d. to £3 17a. 6d.; 2-year steers. £4 6s. t-o £4 125.: sound dairy cows, -£8 7s. fid.; empty heifers, £3 9s. cd. to £4 .Is.; 18-months steers, £3 155.; aged bulls, £2.125. 6d. to £5. Messrs. .Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report ori, : their Levin eale, held yesterday, as follows:—Wo had a very fair yarding of both, sheep and cattle, aizd have to report a good . clearance, with the exception of a ,few small pens.
