A party of shooters discovered a sheep-stealers' camp hidden in dense, scrub. Indications point to tlio fact that operations on a very largo scale have boon carried on for years. .A number of recently-killed animals wero found, and tho bones of hundreds of others. Thero wero several hundred livo sheep in the vicinity. Tlio greatest care had been taken to hide tho camp, which was surrounded by a high palisade mado of ti-treos.
A well-known resident of' tho district lias been arrested.
