• } ; ■ a LABORATORY GUTTED. ByTelecraph—Exes3 Association—Ocrrrisht. Ottawa, January 5. A barrel of wood alooliol exploded in tlio analytical department of tho Inland Revenue Board at Ottawa. Sixteen employees narrowly escaped. An electric motor was overturned. This started a fire, and the building was gutted. Valuable machinery was destroyed and the loss is put down at £8000. .
