WHAT IMPROVED'FARMING MEANS. An American paper gives the following as an instance of the benefits of systematic farming oil improved lines:— In ISS9, Mr. A. L. Dlaisdell. a manufacturer 'at Hotilton, Maine, bought-., a deserted farm in AViutcrport for 1600 do|'lar= (,£320). He devoted it chielly to apples. In 1909 it was paying 5 per cent, interest on JEl'2,ooo. The owner estimates that in live years more his profits will amnunt to the same rate on ,£69,000.'
