N.Z. Loan and Mercantile. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report:-Our proportion of tho offering was 3550 bales. Buyoi-s wero strongly represented, and bidding was brisk ou the. whole, bu!, owing in a great'mcasuro to growers' exalted ideas of values,'many, lots had to be passed in, growers not appreciating fully tho poor condition of their clips. Prices for skirtings, and ' rough and coarse crorsbreds, wero distinctly lower' than at the November 6ales, but all the better sorts of crossbred showed little difference in values. Halfbreds: were rather poorly represented, many of the lots offered by U3-being of only medium description. We obtained some good prices for light well-grown Romney, viz.:-rlOd. to lOid. Our woo! was displayed in thß company's large new wool stores on Thorudon Quay, and buyers and growers united in'. expressing their keen appreciation of tho up-to-date premises, and the mannor" in which the wool was •shown.
