Geaney third; In this , event he established a New Zealand record, viz., 14 3-ssec., while tho track was found to be six inches over the 150 yards. Holway also started in the 75yds. handicap, but failed, the distance being too short to allow him make up the concessions which' be had to give. This event was won by C. W. Webber (9yd?.), with C. A. M'Whirter (4}yds.) - second. Trembath won the 440 yds. handicap, J.-Mallett being Second, and L.'; C. M'Lachlan' third. Time, 50 3-sscc. Mile Amateur Handicap.—W. O'Grady, 1; G. H. Aitken, 2; K„ A. Sinclair, 3. Mile Handicap.—G. A. Campbell, scratch, 1; AV.'Glenn, 85yds., 2; T. Hall, 150 yds., 3. Time, -Imin.-29sec. This was a very. good race, and a popular win. 100 yds. Amateur Handicap.—G.
