The Labour correspondent of "Thp Times" states that the Government will propose that an . honorarium of .£SOO a year bo paid to members of the House of Commons, tho pnyment to commcnco with the opening of next session. A Bill to that effect will, adds the correspondent, be passed immediately. Some Labour members consider .£SOO a year excessive; they prefer that tho honorarium should be .-9100. THE REPORT DENIED. (Rec. January 1, 5,5 p.m.) London, December 31. The "Daily Chronicle" denies that the Government is proposing to pay members of the Hou'so of Commons a salary of <£500 a year.
