THE NEW DEFINITION. 'A question was raisod in the Magistrate's Court yesterday as' to what "shoddy," as applied to cloth, moant. The. problem was solved by Chief Dei. teotivq Broberg, who informed tho Court that shoddy was suit lengths which made up into boaiitiful-looking suits until the wearer happened to be caught 1U » shower of rain, when it generally happenod that tho shrinkago was so great that tho suit had to bo peoled off tho wearer. The Court accepted tho explanation with a smilo.
