A COMPLETE MYSTERY. ■ •' By Telegraph—Press' Association—CopvHghfi Adelaide, December 29; Complete . mystery surrounds tho tragedy at Glanvillo, where the dead bodies' of Mrs. Battye and her baby were found at their borne, the body of tho husband 'being discovered later in the river .'at Port Adelaide. Tho . room where the bodies of Mrs. Battye and her child were found : had beeii set alighi, apparently in an endeavour to hide the crime. Battye was well off. He was very affectionate to his wife and child. He had been married only two years. It is evident the murder was committed while -the victims were asleep. AN OPEN VERDICT. (Rec. December 29, 11.30 p.m.) Adelaide, December 29. At tho inquest on the ' bodies of the Battyes, an open verdict was. returned, as the evidence was insufficient to clear the mystery as to how the deaths were caused.
