The station, how-. ever, is close at hand, and the firemen were quickly on the spot, and had the conflagration extinguished much y harm was done, most of the damage being caused by water. The ■ greatest lors was occasioned by the* smashing of tho plate-glass window. The building is in- y sured for .£3000,' there being .£175 on ... the stock in the National Office. .
