STAFF COLLEGE EXAMINATIONS
Applications by tho New Zealand Cadets for admission to the Military College of Australia must be made on or before January 15. Examinations will be held at the end of. January to enable the ten best to be selected to proceed to join tho collego for tho opening day in March., A medical board, with Colonel Purdy as president, and. Major Begg and Captain Holmes ;as members, will assemble in 'Wellington on December 28, 29, and 80, and onV January 3, <1, and 5, for the. purpose of examining the nominees for positions as area officers and instructors.
It is understood that Captain J. G. Roacho, officer commanding the Wellington Guards, has decided not to accept the offer of qualifying for the position of an adjutant. The Victoria College Officers' Training Corps go into camp at Otaki from to-daj' till, the 30th instant for their annual course of training. Part of the time will be snent at Treritham. A circular "has been issued by the Defence Department to ascertain whether there arc any Permanent Forco offioers who aro desirous • of presenting themselves for the entrance examinations of the English or Indian Staff College next year. Names must be submitted before January 21, 1911] to the officer commanding the Wellington district. Candidates must have passed for promotion to a higher rank before presenting themselves for examination .for entrance to a staff college. ... ■
