A commercial traveller tells of nn amusing experienco which happened to him 011 tlio road. • Finding himself one night in a small town on "new ground" to him, he sought the only inn in the place—a small building, not much larger than the average dwelling. Hearing voices raised in anger, lie paused at tho door. Apparently there v.-as a quarrel in progress, and as the excitement-showed no indication of diminishing, tho traveller knocked loudly.
