RAILWAY' SERVANTS' PRIVILEGES. Sii',~"]]quality" writes as many do who aro ignorant of that which they .write. I should just like to inform "Equality" that Parliament has allowed railway employees the free pass once a year, and in lieu thereof they are paid less for the work they do ..'than, tho fine-weather workers are.for theirs. Now. I have much pleasure t iii 'stating, that railwayman would willingly, accept an extra sixpence per -day,- bringing their wages up to the fine-weather workers' pay and iorgo tho much talked of privileges which are always the. Minister's. fall-back when railway matters are' being'discussed. Further, when our fyiorweather. wotkers.work overtime they arc.paid at overtime rates; rcilwaymen.hnve to take time off, there-' fore being paid actually ordinary rates.— I am, etc., - - . ..
