CITIZENS' RISKS.
LIQUOR IN NO-LICENSE AREAS, A correspondent directs attention ts' the risks run by citizens in taking liquor into No-License areas, and expresses the opinion that a public service would bs rendered by pointing out the obligation* imposed under tho licensing law. H» puts a series of questions 011 the subject to which we append the-answers. 1. What amount of beer, wiue, or spirits may each person take into a No-Liccns» uvea?—One gallon beer, or 1 quart spirit, or 1 quart wine. 2. Is it permissible to tako a certain' quantify of each of the three beverages? —No. 3. What is tho minimum quantity of each of the three beverages for whicli a man mtist furnish his name and addresa to the hotelkeeper or his employees?— Only necessary when liquor is sent by the licensee. 4. Supposing a man purchases two quarts of beer contained in two has he to' furnish his name to the hotel, keeper,_ and is the purchaser to see the two said bottles labelled?— No. sa s>. our persons set out on g holiday to a No-License district, each taking the maximum quantity of liquoy allowed by the Act, and in journeying out were given a'ride in a vehicle,.would the owner of the vehicle, if accosted by a police officer, say, be liable "for having. all that liquor in his possession, not* ■ withstanding tho fact tliat each bottle 03 jar was properly labelled?— No. 6. At what age may a young person purchase liquor for his parents, say?— ' Over thirteen years. 7. If a- person required five gallons of beer, what steps would bs have to taka to obtain it?—He would have to inform the vendor and notify the clerk of thg Court. '
