NATIONAL PROVIDENT FUND.
BOARD CONSTITUTED. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) Rotorua, December 20. The National Provident Fund Board, the chairmdn of which is the Eight Hon. Sir Joseph .Ward, Minister for Finance, has been , established under the Act by the appointment of Dr; Hay (InspectorGeneral of Asylums), Mr. J. W. PoyntOn (Secretary to the.-Treasury), Mr. G. F. C. Campbell (Land aDd Income Tax Commissioner), and Mr. R. E. Hayes (Superintendent of the Fund),. The operation of the fund, will commenco as soon as the preliminary organisation work is completed, a considerable amount of which is entailed by a national scheme such as this. Sir Joseph Ward expects to be able to announce within tho next few weeks a definite date for .commencing business.
