NEW TEMPORARY -APPOINTMENT!' Matters are now being "arranged in 'con- . ' nection with the camp of instruction aa regards the officers who .have been, iiom- . inated for the positions' of adjutants ah.d, .-' instructors. _ * A circular has been' issued to all tha iofficers-concerned notifying them that"-a r camp of instruction, will be held near Wellihgton commencing about January 7. It is understood that the location of tha . camp will be .at Pigeon' Bush, nearFeatherston. 1 The camp will last two v months. : Captain H. H. Brownv of the 'general instructional staff, is to occupy the position of quartermaster at the camp. .It is stated in' the _circular that the . officers concerned are to distinctly under-. , stand that-their attendance, at .the .camp gives no. guarantee that they will be taken' on permanently, and that they will ba. liable to dismissal from camp at any time during their six months' probation: should they be found unsuitable. They ■will, he required to attend in servica dress uniform. The - key pass .to the . camp will be issued at the .district office. The- following books are recommended to be'taken to camp, viz.: Musketry Regu- . lations, 19IV.I; Infantry Training; Field, . Service Pocket Book; Cavalry Training; Field Service Regulations, Part I and. II; Mahual Field Sketching Reconnaissance; Manual Military ..Engineerings Part I; notebook;, sketching material. Lieutenant Lampen; who has: been appointed to go into training, with' a of qualifying for the position of an adjutant (mounted), was a-lieutenant is i. the Indian-Staff ; Corps. - Captain "R. S.
