Castle, president of tho Pharmacy Board of New Zealand, will represent the Dominion at the annual conference of the Australasian Pharmaceutical Association to bo held in Sydney, commencing January 9 nest, i Mr. W. L. Meek,, of Wellington, who has been on-a visit to England and the Continent, has - returned, after a most enjoyable tour. ... Mr. W. R. Jourdnin, of the head office, Department of Lands, and secretary to tho Scenery Preservation Board, has passed the final section of the solicitors' examination. _Mr. H. H. Rayward, of Baldwin and wayward, has been appointed Consul in Wellington for the Argentine Republic. At a special meeting of. the Onslow Borough Council to-morrow evening a member of the council will be appointed acting-Mayor ,_ to carry on tho duties of the office during the absence of Mr. J. G. Harkness in England.
