WAIHOANGA ITEMS.
Messrs. .Langeson and Co. intend erecting their sawmill on tho longata estate immediately after Christmas. -It is also , their intention .to establish, a largo timber depot. at Otaki. Another company is'also in negotiation With bush property owners here for the purpose of likewise starting a mill further lip tho gorge. Those who havo been through the bush, here' report that there is a largo, quantity of grand timber available, rimu especially. The longata bridge is now almost finished, so that there will be no difficulty in getting out tho timber. Bullocks aro mentioned for haulage purposes, but it is doubtful if they-would answer.
A splendid mob of fat cattle—Christmas beef—went, through here from the run of Messrs. Hull! Walker, Simpson, and Klatt last week. . They numbered over eighty, and were en route for the Levin sale, whero subsequently they brought capital prices. Church building here seems the order of the day.- First/ the Roman Catholic community is preparing to build,' and now the Methodists follow suit, ,Mr. Windley having given a sito near To Horo. Presbyterians are also seriously thinking that they require a place of worship, and a Scotch , resident is prepared to give a site if tho project takes definite shape. This edifice, if . built, will bo at Waihoanga.. . . , . . Anglers do not seem to be aware that there is some really good fishing, to bo obtained in the streams about here and in tho Waiotauro' Valley. Trout 5 and 6 pounds weight havo .'frequently been landed.

Mr. A. M'Chcyno Murray, of Glenvcigh, contemplates a visit to the Old Country at an early date. He intends to witness the Coronation.
Mr. B. Bockett, of Gorge Mount, who some foiv weeks since met with a. painfull accident, bir.dt3B j a bono in his foot, is now' progressing favourably towards recovery.
