The money spent in the metropolitan area alono on building, operations amounts to £6,367,000, and buildings now. in course of erection represent a value of £1,166,000. From orders in hand,' it is estimated that the end of next year will see ten million pounds', .worth of new buildings erected in Sydney and its environs.
