in the big sports meeting at the Basin' Reserve, to-morrow is increasing as tho .time draws nearer. Despite last Saturday's check the gathering bids fair to bo,as important an athletic event as has happened in tho city for some time. The club responsible is the oldest of our local institntioiis of a similar nature, and has a-imputation.to sustain for the completeness, of its. arrangements at these affairs, and its efforts to secure the comfort of its patrons. This reputation is hot to be allowed to suffer to-morrow if the officials can help it. Everything will be got off on scheduled time so there will be no wearisome waiting between events, of which there is a large . and varied assortment to bo disposed of between 2.15 and 5 o'clock.
