... VISIT OF OVERSEA EXPERTS. Most of the arrangements in connection with tho visit of members of the Australasian Institute of Mining Engineers to tho Ifauraki goldfields and other mining districts in tho Dominion havo nowbeen completed. .It is anticipated that' the conference will attract about 150 mining experts from the various States. To Dr. Bell, of New Zealand, will/most likely fall the honour of president.;o{; the institute - foiv.tho.; coming year. 'At Auckland, whore the visitors "arrive on' January "9, 'there >will : bo .a, banquot, which.will bo attended by 1 his: Excellency'dhe ! G.ovemor, tbo..Prime..Min : . ister, the. Minister for Mines, and probably oth'cr.,\ members of tho Ministry. For a whole'week- tho delegates will take lip their 'headquarters at Thames. Visits of inspection will be made to the mines at Waihi, Waikino, and .'Karangahake, among other places. Those visitors who cannot afford further timo will leave Wellington for Sydney on February 6.
