Steamship Company, will be fitted with additional derricks and winches to render her suitable for -working general cargo and timber. Captain N. Woods, late of the Storm, lias been appointed master of the Pctone, and Mr. Anderson, late of theBreeze, chief engineer. The Pctone, 708 tons; which will he probably renamed, is. now the largest steamer owned by the Canterbury Steamship Company, whoso othor vessels are the Breeze, 553 tons, and the Storm, 405 tons. The Pctone will'load this week at_ Dunedin, Timarn, and Lyttelton, for Wellington, Napier, and Gisborne. The New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Kaipnra, which loft Cape Town on December 5. for Wellington, via Auckland, en route from London, is bringing the following passengers:—For Auckland— Jlr. A.
