Mr. Doolett'e, the principal shareholder in the Bullfinch mine, states that lie is determined- not to grant an increase. ' ' ■ During November the Bullfinch treated 399 tons of ore (?5J80) ounces valued at ,£21,203. . Reporting for the owners of the Chaffinch mine, Mr. Do Grut, tho expert metallurgist, states that tho highest assay was under two pennyweights to tho ton. This samplo was obtained within eighteen inches of tho spot where Mr. Arthur obtained 20-ounco samples. Littlo is known of the geological features of the field, but no promising lode has been found. , The recent rise in the price of shares was absolutely unwarrantable. The Stato Mipister for Mines has ordered an inquiry. A detectivo has left for the field. A Norwegian has been arrested at. Bullfinch for firing a revolver in the air. Ho had to be chained to a log, as there was no lock-up. IRATE SHAREHOLDERS; STORMY MEETING AT ADELAIDE.' (Rec. December 13, 8.55 p.m.) Adelaide, December 13. A stormy meeting of tho shareholders in the Bullfinch East G.oldmining Company has been held. This is one of the flotations arising out of the famous Bullfinch find. ■ Charges of misrepresentation and swindling were voiced by some irate shareholders, but although tho meeting favoured winding up tho company, the necessary three-fourths majority was not forthcoming. The directors, who favoured winding up, announced their intention of taking steps to get the shareholders' money back.
