i Messrs. Dalgcty and Company, Limited, report having held their, fortnightly sale in. their Taratahi yards this week. As anticipated, all Etoclt advertised i-amc forward, and this resulted in a fnirly heavy yarding of cattle of all descriptions, while the sheep entry comprised some good lines of two-tooth wethers, and a small line of four, six. and' f.f.m. ewes. There was a largo attendance of buyers, and, consequently, tho various lines were keenly sought after, and bidding at auction was very brisk. Tlio firm report practically a total clearance. Quotations-:—Two-tooth wethers, 10s., lCs. LCd , Us. 2d., to 13s. 7d.; four, six. and f.f.m. ewes, to 12s. Bd.; yearling steers, £2 18s.. £3 35.; calves (mixed sexes).. 255. to 2fa.: cightccn-months heifers, .£2 IBs., £3 lis.. £3 12s. 6d. to £4 10s.; yearling heifers; £1 10s.. £1 16s. 6d., to £1 195.; fifteen-months steers, £3 3s. fo £4 65.; store . cows, to £4 Cs.; cows with calves at foot, to £4 14?.; cows in calf, £6 to £6 55.; heifers, in calf, £6, £6 25.; bulls', £3 165., £4 Jo. 6d. to £4 ss.
