RECENT TRANSACTIONS. The quantity of wool offered for sole in November was 31,533 bales, and the quantity sold was 31,564 bales. The largest quantities were offered and sold in •Wellington..' The offerings totalled 9810 bales, and the sales 8821 bales. At Christchurch 8184 hales wero. offered, and 7839 sold. Other figures were:—Napier, 4775 offered, 4155 sold; Timaru, 4482 and 4095; Auckland, CJ72 and-6G54. . The following information showing the transactions of tho last-five months (and, ;in parentheses of the similar period last : year) wero compiled by Messrs./Dalgety and Co.:—At Dunedin 569 hales were offered and 515..501 d (530 and 520); Timaru, 4822 and 4435 (0431 and '5053),; Christ.church," 9986 and.-9331'(8G91 and 8596); Wellington, 11,301 and 10.257 (5279: and 4990)'; Napier, 5618 and 4959 (8120 and 7871); Gisborne,l92 and 187 (330 and 286);" and Auckland, 7212 and G894 (7421 and .7355). ......' ■'.'■', Therefore, the 'sales in the five months period this year were 917 bales more than in the previous corresponding period, and the offerings were 2898 bales more. Less wool was sold at Timaru, at Napier,. and at Gisbbrne; but there was a "fair increase at Christchurch, and a very laTge increase at Wellington. .
