Tho stem was twisted and several plates' on tho starThe collision occurred at night, when tho Sussex was leaving, after coaling. The Sussex's bow was badly knocked board side wero dented, tho fore-peak being flooded. The vessel was delayed eight days at Las Palmas • making temporary. repairs.
