THE RIGHT TO STRIKE.
NEW PORTUGUESE DECREE. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Eec. December 8, '11.50 p.m.) Lisbon, December 8. The Government has decreed that all workers, except State employees, are entitled to strike. The decree specifies tho lengths of the notice required in the case of workers engaged in tho supply of water and light, and also in railway and maritime transport. A Lisbon message of' November 30 stated:—"Tho city is rapidly approaching a state of anarchy. The most potent force is labour, which is dictating to Government and employers. Strikes are of daily occurrence, and the Government is powerless' to intervene." ,
