Messrs. Ualgfity and Co., Ltd.,. report that at their Wavcrley sale on Friday they ' had a small yarding and a quiet sale. They quote: Two-tooth wethers, to 12s. ad.; forward cows, £4 55.; dairy cows, ;H>. Messrs. A. H. Atkinson and Co., Ijtd., at their usual Friday sale at lfciidinc, re- | c port a heavy yarding of pigs and a good entry of poultry. Pigs were- difficult of T , sale, except forward and good stores, 5 which were sold at better value. Some jc > good-quality weaners were penned and ] J( 3 sold up to lis. 3d., and Elips to lfe. 6d. In poultry the firm had few table birds, peas ni " being mostly fllled with good chicks and > half-grown birds. New potatoes made lid. \j t per lb., and are worth about 14s. in cwt. pi . lots. There was no inquiry for old.
