Marciel, Superintendent of Mercantile Marine at Lyttelton, has ' advised the Secretary of Marino at Wei- ; liugton that Captain Bushell, master of '• the oil fishing launch Wairau, reports that one mile and a half to the southeast of the ontsido of the south-east end of the bank that was surveyed by the ), Tutanekai about two .years ago, situated I. between the mouths of the Waia and Conway ■ Rivers, ho discovered, on November d 29, a, rocky patch about ZOO to 300 yards 3, in extent, having around and close to it from 12 to 20 fathoms of water.
