The Montreal Gazette" states the Prinio Minister, Sir Wilfrid Laurier, will probably resign in the autumn, subsequent to an educational tour, on the navy question in Qucbec, Ontario",' and other provinces. THE NAVAL PROGRAMME. (Ree. December 4, 5.5 p.m.) Ottawa, December 3. As a result of the navy debate in the Dominion House of Commons, thq contracts have been hastened for four ciuisers of the Bristol class, and sis torpedo boat destroyers of the River class. Oil fuel is to be used for both classes of vessel. On the completion of the programme the Navy is estimated . to cost £2,000,000. ATLANTIC FISHERIES AWARD. (Rec. December 4, 5.5 p.m.) Ottawa, December 3. Mr. Aylesworth, K.C., Minister for Justice, in explaining the Hague Fisheries Award,. indicated that the' result aided' Canada to maintain her sovereignty in Hudson's Bay, which he hoped would never be questioned.
