WOMAN SERIOUSLY INJURED.

DEPOSITIONS TAKEN AT 2,30 A.M. .A married woman, Emma Cooper, was admitted to tho hospital at I p.m. 011 Sunday. Sho was suffering from a blow in the abdomen. Her condition became serious towards midnight, and an operation became necessary. So ser?ous was her condition that tho police wore communicated with, and they in turn deemed it advisable to communicate with Mr. Biddoll, S.M., who between 2 and 3 o'clock this morning proceeded to the hospital to tako her depositions. Her husband, Mr. Matthew Cooper, a laundryman, recently arrived from England, has been detained for purposes of identification. Mrs. Cooper is about 25 years of age, and resides at 36 Mein Street.
