' In moving the second reading of the ' Savings Bank Act Amending Bill in the State Assembly, the Treasurer (the Hon. W. A. Watt) stated that the credit fonder system had more than justified, itself. Of two and a half millions advanced, only £100 was in default, and of that £100, £58 repre- , sented' interest. , -j The Bill proposes to extend the system in order to enable people ,to build their own homes.
