Eight, thousand spectators were prosent at yesterday's match between tho South Afrioan cricketers and an Australian eleven. The weather was hot, and tho wicket perfect. Jennings played a great innings for Australia, hitting brilliantly. . Ho was at the wickets 123 minutes, and scored seven fourers. Ho was dismissed by a splendid catch. Hordern, Kortlang, and Macartney were in good form, but the others were disappointing. The 'innings lasted 3 hours 44 minutes. The" bowling was good, and the fielding moderate, several catches being dropped. South Africa opened badly in a fading light, and the first three wickets produced 32.
