LODGE MEETINGS.
The,nsual weekly. session of the King's • Coronation Lodge, 1.0. G.T., was held last Friday evening, and was well; at- ■■ tended. Bro. G. Harris, C.T., prosid-.' "ed. A good discussion took, placo on a motion brought forward, which it is i hoped will go for the good of the lodge. - ' - and tho Order. An important notice of motion is to he dealt with at next meeting. The question of by-laws was left to the executive to deal with. The lodge will meet early next, session as the juveniles from the Newtown Templa are paying a visit. Last Friday night the Queen Victoria Juvenile Temple, 1.0. G.T. held a very successful "postcard night," Bro. S. G. Gow being in charge. After the- ■ ordinary services tho .members read 1 post-cards received from different peos pie in the Dominion and tho Common- ,, wealth. Kindly greetings from their--5 Excellencies, Lord and Lady Islington, . - were enthusiastically received, the chilv dren singing "For They are Jollv Good 5 Fellows." Post-cards were also rcceiv- : i ed from the Hon. J. T. S. M'Gowen e (Premier of New South "Wales), Sister , Cameron (Grand Superintendent of ju- . venils work), Sister Richards, .Mr. 1 Thos. Pettit (Mayor of . Nelson), Mr. i Yung-liang Hwang (Chinese Consul), Mis. A. R. -Atkinson, the Revs. E. 0. Blamires, and A. F. Burchell, and many others. Tho Hon. J.} T. Verran (Premier of South Australia) sent the .following message:—"Children, remember thero is nothing productive of such bencficial results in after life as the early formation of' good, habits. ltesolve to-night, therefore, never, t« touch .. intoxicating drink, and never to lose an opportunity of stamping out tha drink evil." 1 • =
