AN "ENGAGED GIRLS'" CLASS
The Y.W.C.A. in Adelaide has instituted a class which is, unique in this part of the world, though' becoming popular in America (says an Australian writer). It is an "engaged girls'"' class, where girls who are about to be married can receives-' training in the art of home-mak-ing. The course includes lessons in cooking, sewing of various kinds, hygiene, first aid, laundry work, and book-keeping —in '.fact, all the arts which make the difference between a house and. a home. For girls who have , gone straight'. from school to a shop or ofiiec such classes are of inestimable value, and appreciation of them is proved by the number of girls _ who attend them.
