6 , The special concert given at the Missions to Seamen Hall last night was a most enjoyable affair. Tho largo audience was most enthusiastic, and the majority of tho performers received doublo encores. Mr. B'." A. Kenny was abcompanist, and ho also contributed songs to the programme. Songs were also contributed by Miss Lloyd Hassell and Messrs. J. P. Carr and A. C. C. Stevens, while Dr. Isaacs was very successful with his amusing recitations. Mr. and Miss Graham's dialogues were capital itoms in a splendid all-round . programme. l During the evening a demonstration of firo rescuo work was given by merchant seamen off the Matatua. The hall was specially darkened for the time, and tho olfect was very realistic, the rescue being completed amidst great enthusiasm. Bho concert was a success from ovcry point of view.
