WEATHER AT CAPE PALLISER.
.. • • r~* ~' ' • ■ " ■ WHY IS IT \ NEVER REPORTED? In 'tho' opinion of some of the shipping firms at Wellingten, the Government Meteorologist should endeavour to • pnlplish a report of the weather at Cape I'alUser every morning in the: weather* summary issued at 0 a.m. At present no rilieial information can bo obtained, and, it is tire opinion of f.jioso interested that' the state of the weather at Cape Palliser is of as ranch importance to saip-masteis, and others, as that of any other station in Now' Zealand. At the present time there is a wire from the lighthonse at the Capo to Wellington, and, seeing that this is a turning point for vessels from Cook Strait to tho East Cape,. and - viceversa, tho information would be beneficial to all those connected with shipping trading that way. At present a report comes through from Blenheim and Cape Campbell, but it is held that one from Cape' Pallistr is just' as important ' as the two mentioned.
