' At a meeting of the Wellington' Bowling Centre, a letter was received from; ' the Picton Bowling Club, stating that invitations had been extended to the Wellington, Thorndon, Newtown, and: Victoria Clubs to the tournament to take place on December 26 and. 2i. The programme of the- centres atf.. ■ ... nual tournament, to take place on,' . January 2, 3, and 4, was considered. •;■ It was. decided that the. prize should: be the . championship shield, and trophies to the value' of £2 2s. for the winning rink, and trophies of the value of £1 Is. for members of the secondrink. A special prize, consisting of a large rose bowl (and known as the Gisborne trophy) would be held for one year by the team scoring the greatest/ number of points in sectional play. Al] tho games are to be of 16 heads except the final, which will be of 21 , i heads. A Match Committee, consisting —s* of Messrs.
