FIRST UNION BUDGET.
By Tclesrrapli—Press Assoclalion-OopyriElit. (Rec. November 29, 10.30 p.m.) Capo Town, November 29. Mr. Hull, the Union Treasurer, has introduced his Budget. It is estimated that a Cape and Orango River State diamond mines tax will yield £240,000. The Treasurer foreshadowed a graduated profit tax on base metals. legislation will be introduced to consolidate the Stato loans, excepting the iraiisvaal guaranteed loan. Mr. Hull declared that tho financial position of tho Union" was most satisfactory.
