SHOCKING CHRISTCHURCH CASE.

The police officer to whom it foil to take charge, of Scott at the Po\ico Station, had a most unpleasant task, for .every stitch of the man's clothing had to bo removed aud burned. Scott was then taken out into the ODen and washed with a strong solution" of water and Jeyes'. fluid. Tho officer used a soft long-handled mop which lie dipped into a bucket and then applied to tho man's body. This was followed up by several buckets of a milder solution of the same sort, and finally, by some buckets of pure water.
