One pint of green gooseberries, 1 pint of milk, or \ pint of milk and A pint of cream, 6ugar to sweeten, 2 or 3 tablespoonfuls of water. Put gooseberries into a jar with some sugar and the water. Stand the jar in a saucepan of boiling water. When the fruit is quite 6oft, rub through a sieve, and when cold add the milk or milk and cream. FOR TO-MORROW. Piece of Silver Side of Round, Corned Beef. Boiled Salad. Macaroni. • Cheese. Rhubarb. Pastry.
